Celebrate Forever Families serves the entire county, including residents of Kaufman, Terrell, Forney, Kemp, Crandall, and Mabank. You do not have to leave your county, your children's school district, or your support network to reach safety.
We are a domestic violence shelter, not a homeless shelter. Every program we offer is designed specifically for survivors of family violence and their children. That distinction matters — it means the people around you understand what you've been through, and every service is built around your recovery.
What Happens When You Call
Reaching out is the hardest step. When you call our 24/7 crisis line, you'll speak with someone who is trained in trauma-informed care and who will listen without judgment. Together, you'll talk through your situation and figure out the right next step — whether that's emergency shelter tonight, a longer-term residential program, or outreach services you can access without entering shelter.
We accept families with children. You will not be asked to leave your kids behind or make separate arrangements. Our emergency shelter offers stays of up to 45 days, and our residential program provides stable housing for survivors who need more time to rebuild.
Protective Orders and the Kaufman County Courts
Navigating the legal system alone — especially while managing fear, logistics, and children — is overwhelming. Our advocates know the Kaufman County courthouse and work directly with the Kaufman County District Attorney's office to help survivors pursue protective orders.
